I killed my own bot before it traded a dollar.
I built a trading bot and was building a business around it. Before going live, I ran the strategy through my own validation pipeline: trained on the first half of the data, tested once on the untouched second half, with a transaction-cost bar of 6 bps.
I shut the bot down before it traded a dollar — and killed three more "profitable" strategies the same week. Every one of them would have passed TradingView's strategy tester, because TradingView never makes your strategy prove itself on data it hasn't seen.
That pipeline is now Rigor.
